Ready for the new computerised learner's licence test?

The test now shuffles every question and answer, so you can't just memorise your way through like before. SimpleApps Learners teaches you why each answer is right — not just what to pick — so you're ready no matter how the question comes up.

Original questions authored from the official NATIS manuals.

Why so many learners are failing the new test

The old way: memorise a fixed K53 set

The paper booklet test used the same fixed 64 K53 questions in a known order. Learners (and most K53 practice apps) optimised for recall — remember the question, remember the letter. It worked, because the test never changed.

The new reality: CLLT randomises everything

K53 is still the content you're tested on — Vehicle Controls, Road Signs, Rules of the Road. What changed is how it's delivered: CLLT (Computerised Learner's Licence Testing) now draws questions and shuffles answer order from a national pool of roughly 1,200 questions, with harder, closer-together distractors. Apps built for the old paper booklet — memorise the question, remember answer “C” — don't prepare you for that. Recall-only prep breaks down immediately — you have to actually know why an answer is correct.

How SimpleApps Learners gets you ready

Built around how the CLLT (Computerised Learner's Licence Testing) system actually works, not the old paper test.

Randomised like the real test

Every practice session and mock exam shuffles questions and answer order, so you can't fall back on memorised positions.

An explanation for every answer

Right or wrong, you get the reasoning — why the correct option is correct, and why the one you picked isn't.

Mock exams that mirror the CLLT

Timed, section-by-section, with the same pass/fail structure as the computerised test — so exam day feels familiar.

A readiness score that's honest about the real rule

The CLLT fails you if you fail any one section, even with a great overall score. Our readiness score is driven by your weakest section, not a flattering average — so it never tells you you're ready when you're not.

Example data

Readiness is driven by your weakest section, not your average — because that's how the real CLLT works. This learner would pass every section today.

Road traffic signs89% · pass mark 82%
Rules of the road93% · pass mark 79%

What's included

Unlimited practice

Drill road rules, signs, or vehicle controls as much as you like — or jump straight into your weakest topics — with questions and options reshuffled every attempt.

Real road signs, not illustrations

Practice, mock exams, and the 542-sign reference all use real, verified road sign artwork — identify actual signs the way the CLLT tests them, not a text description of one.

Study guides that teach, not just list

Original, plain-English write-ups of the road rules and controls — written to build understanding, not to be memorised.

Realistic timed mock exam

Three sections, each pass/fail on its own threshold, timed the way the real CLLT session runs.

A CLLT readiness score, tracked over time

See your accuracy per section, your weakest topics, and every past practice session and mock exam — saved to your account so your progress carries across devices.

Works on any device

Practice on your phone in a taxi queue or on a laptop at home — no app install required.
